POSITION DETAILS

Position: Field Researcher

Employment Location: Worldwide Opportunities

Responsibilities: Conduct surveys, polls and focus groups in support of human terrain mapping. Enter collected data into a proprietary geospatial information system. Summarize daily activities into a written after action report for program evaluation purposes.

Qualifications: Diplomacy, tact and excellent cross-cultural communication and interpersonal skills with practical experience engaging diverse audiences. Fluency in foreign language(s) spoken in Africa, Asia, the Middle East or the Americas and a deep cultural understanding required. Excellent command of English, both written and oral required. Strong research and analysis skills demanded. Travel to third world, developing and hostile regions would be expected. Degree in international relations, anthropology, political science, history, linguistics or related discipline. Five to 10 years of international field experience could be considered in lieu of a degree. Strong familiarity with geospatial information systems a plus. Current passport. Proficiency in Mac OS X Snow Leopard.
