POSITION DETAILS

Position: Human Terrain Analyst

Employment Location: Worldwide Opportunities

Responsibilities: Conduct focused open source research relevant to human terrain mapping. Provide socio-cultural, geo-political and ethnical knowledge to produce analytical reports based on fact-finding field investigations as well as information gathered from other sources. 
Qualifications: A degree in international relations, political science, history, linguistics, or a related field. Five to 10 years of experience could be considered in lieu of a degree. Experience working on projects related to issues in Africa, the Middle East, Asia or the Americas is highly desired. Strong analytical skills demanded. Fluent in English and the language(s) spoken in the area of focus. Knowledgeable about the culture and social structure of the area of expertise. Strong familiarity with geospatial information systems a plus. Current passport. Proficiency in Mac OS X Snow Leopard. Samples of international research and analysis required for interview.
